The other side of the story is that the Israeli army was also created to destroy nice yeshiva boys and make them secular. And that's why the army is full of girls (The more the merrier). And the third side of the story is that if you asked the army boys "what would you rather do; serve in the army (and play with girls), or go to yeshiva and learn Torah", they would all pick the army. So don't tell me that it's easier to sit and learn.
I have also showed you before that without Torah, Israel and the world would collapse in a second. (See July 16, 2012: Sep 8, 2011) You also see from July 16 that you need both an army + Torah. And as far as local Torah vs. long distance Torah is concerned, yes, of course local Torah is stronger, but that doesn't mean you don't need long distance Torah. Of course you need long distance Torah to keep the world going. Just try to shut down Torah in Israel. Just try!
