De ruuf in de rein in de rinin

So I'm listening to Rabbi Akiva Tatz the other day (He's very good), and he talked about how Yakov was punished for not giving Deena to Easu (She maybe could have turned him around). This of course was a very delicate and difficult decision to make, but at the end of the day he was punished. So I'm sitting and thinking; I thought all you need is the boys in BMG should sit and learn with a big bren, and the BT's will come flying in from all sides? Why do we need Deena to go to 42nd st. to do kiruv? So I guess the Lubavitch'e rebbe was right after all.....
