Persia and Rome (part 2)

Yechezkel 32,(17-till the end) is a very cryptic hidden prophecy. The Malbim (who died in 1879) says that this is referring to the end of days when all the nations will gather up against Israel. The circumcised nations from Yishmael (Egypt, Syria, and Iran) will join forces with the uncircumcised nations from Esau (Edom (Rome), Meshech and Tubal and the princes of the north, Europe and the west?) to march against Israel.

He says that it will start with Egypt. Egypt will start the war against Israel and he will be defeated. And then his friends (Syria and Iran) will come to help him. And so on, until the entire world will be involved. Once this happens, G-d will cause the Christians and Arabs to turn on each other and wipe each other off the map. This is good for global warming. (After all, global warming is the most important problem in the world)

The Malbim also says that when it says in the Talmud (Yoma 10) that Rome will fall to Persia, and Persia will fall to Rome, they are both true. They will both happen back and forth. This is all tied in with Gog and Magog. Gog (And his whole coalition) is supposed to march against Israel 3 times. We don't know exactly how this will work out, or whether some of this has already happened.

And here is the order of nations mentioned in the prophecy. Egypt, Syria, Aaylom (Iran), Meshech and Tubal, Edom, the princes of the north, and Tzidon. They will all get involved with Egypt vs. Israel, and they will all fall by the sword.

The Malbim also predicted that at the end of days we will have weapons that can split mountains and make huge fear and trembling. "Each mans sword will be against his brother" (Yecheskel 38, 20-22). "G-d will smite the armies  with confusion and blindness" (Zecharia 12).

"And this will be the plague that G-d will strike all the nations that gathered against Jerusalem. Their flesh will melt while they are still standing, their eyes will melt in their sockets, and their tongues will melt in their mouths."  Sounds like a fancy bomb to me, or maybe chemical. "On that day there will be great confusion and panic among them, and each man will grab the hand of his friend, and his hand will be raised against the hand of his friend." (Zecharia 14, 12-13)    My suggestion? Stay home!   (Click Mar 24, Mar 20, 2011)
